With this vision in mind, Presidium Ashok Vihar recently honoured the beseeching acumen of the students at the vivacious ceremony - Chairperson Honours. Our honourable Chairperson, Mrs. Sudha Gupta was filled with zeal and exuberance to grace the occasion and see her dream of 'transforming signatures into autographs' and 'creating leaders', turning into reality. She acknowledged the young leaders with prizes for their accolades in front of those who nurtured their skills - the teachers and the ones who stood beside them during all the trials and tribulations - their parents. An extravaganza of dignity, triumph, elation and celebration, the ceremony was above all, a manifestation of hope and faith which can even overturn mountains.
PRESIDIANS ENHANCE RESPECT FOR HELPERS ON WORLD LABOUR DAY
Presidians of Ashok Vihar recently joined the global celebration of labourers and working class on the occasion of International Labour Day. The young learners conducted a special assembly, wherein the theme of working class was introduced to them. Several amazing performances were presented by the students, which enhanced gratitude and respect for 'our helpers' in the hearts of the leaders of tomorrow.
BUDDHA PURNIMA SPREADS DIVINE VIBES IN THE CORRIDORS OF PRESIDIUM
To encourage all to follow a humanitarian path, the young Presidians of Ashok Vihar recently conducted a special assembly on the occasion of Buddha Purnima. Through several captivating performances, the budding philanthropists depicted the righteous and divine life of Lord Buddha and inspired the audience with the surreal power of our inner strength, as "the mind is everything; what you think, you become".
THE PIONEERS OF MANIPURI DANCE VISIT PRESIDIUM ON WORLD DANCE DAY
On the occasion of World Dance Day, Presidium Ashok Vihar had the propitious opportunity to unravel the marvels of Manipuri dance with the benign presence of Guru Singhajit Singh and Ms. Charu Sija Mathur, the pioneers of Manipuri dance in India. Organized in association with SPIC MACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth), the event began with warm greetings and a heart rendering welcome of the distinguished guests followed by an extravaganza of inspiring words by the guests. The galore of knowledge shared by the Gurus mesmerized and enriched the young minds of Presidians with folklore and Indian tradition of dance. This exuberant spectacle ended with vote of thanks for the guests for their precious words and time. Instilling the responsibility to preserve their culture and heritage for the future generations, this event proved to be a learning milestone for the students!

To give our budding artists of grades 6 to 8, a platform to voice to their latent energies and creative instincts through their magical creations, an on-the-spot painting competition was recently organized at Presidium, Ashok Vihar. Full of zeal and zest, the students sat on their seats, deeply engrossed in making their paintings. Their vivid, colourful and meaningful paintings were a treat to the eyes. All students put in their best efforts and had a nice creative experience!
ELICITING SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT OF KIDS WITH A TOY SHARING ACTIVITY
Best toys engage children’s senses, spark imagination and encourage them to interact with others!
Keeping the same in mind, an activity 'my favourite toy' was recently conducted for our grade nursery students at Presidium, Ashok Vihar. Bingo, the puppet was introduced to the class and a video about Bingo’s favourite toy was shown. Considering the connection of students with toys, they were asked to bring their favourite toy to school. They played together as a team with those toys. It was a delightful bonding experience for the tiny tots as they shared their toy with the peer groups!
PRESIDIANS CHEER - IT'S OUR HOME, IT'S OUR PLANET, ON EARTH DAY
It's our moral duty to extricate our home out of the quagmire of the parlous situation!
Spreading an optimistic approach with their little hands and soft hearts, the Presidians of Ashok Vihar recently celebrated a fun-filled Earth Week. Seeing their extreme seriousness, zeal and spark about ameliorating the condition of Mother Earth showed that our future is not at stake. The tiny tots promised to work with full determination on the path of salvaging our planet. The entire week's celebration imbibed the environmental concerns of today and roped in a sense of light and hope!
SHINING LITTLE PRESIDIANS' OBSERVATION & LEARNING WITH FREE PLAY
Play excites every child!
The role of play is not just only to make a child happy and excited, but to make them understand their world through playing. Considering that play is crucial for a child's social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth, our tiny tots were recently given an opportunity to play under the TBL (Theme Based Learning). Playing with different toys like doctor set, mechanic's tools and kitchen set, the children enjoyed explored and pretending different roles like that of a doctor, carpenter, and electrician. It was quite amazing to witness the responses of the children as they adopted these roles naturally. Various skills like sharing, observation, peer learning were developed through this activity, which also proved to be a great learning experience for the little cherubs.
TRADITIONAL FERVOUR MARKS BAISAKHI CELEBRATIONS AT PRESIDIUM
With full zeal, the Presidians of Ashok Vihar celebrated the joyful festival of Baisakhi with a special assembly to apprise the audience of the rich culture and heritage of India. Dressed in traditional colourful attires, our little students presented a series of captivating performances, which showed why and how Baisakhi is celebrated. Making the Presidians aware about exciting facts about Baisakhi, the assembly proved to be an enriching experience for them.
TEACHING GRADE 2 PRESIDIANS PHYSICAL REPRESENTATION OF NUMBERS
Teaching aids like Dienes blocks bring to life, the relationship between units, tens, hundreds and thousands. Considering that these aids can help children visualize numbers when learning basic addition and subtraction, a 'number representation activity using Dienes blocks' was recently conducted for our grade 2 students at Presidium, Ashok Vihar. Helping the young ones understand the physical representation of numbers, the activity taught them how a number is comprised of units, tens, hundreds and even thousands. The activity sure accelerated our young learners' education joyful and exciting.
