Presidians are the leaders of tomorrow and it is important for the future leaders to know how their political system functions as the future of the country are in the hands of today’s youth. With the same view, ‘Youth Parliament’ was organized by Presidium Ashok Vihar on December 3, 2016. Presidians were actively involved and were given different roles, like the Speaker, Secretary General, Prime Minister, various cabinet ministers, MPs along with the Leader of the opposition in the event. The sound political thought process amongst students was imbued by simulating Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Indian parliament. The session started with the oath and was successfully completed when the bill finally got passed. The event was fruitful and served its purpose of embedding and strengthening the roots of Parliamentary Democracy.
