"The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination!" - Albert Einstein Renewing our natural sense of optimism and opening up new possibilities, 'play' is our brain's favourite way of learning as it energizes and enlivens us. If we stand back and observe children involved in pretend play, they are often mimicking what they see around them. Taking this into consideration, an interesting 'pretend play' activity for the little Presidians of Grade Nursery was recently organized. They wholeheartedly participated in this fun-filled activity, which was based on the theme 'rainy season'. They used props such as umbrellas, raincoats, gumboots, paper puddles, etc, to pretend to be dancing in the rain, jumping over the puddles, splashing rain water and enjoying rain. They sang and danced to the tune of the rhyme 'Barish Aayi Chham Chham'. Hence it proved to be an enjoyable and immersive learning session.
